Case Study · Alias Intelligence
Zero posts to 103,184 impressions. The year due diligence stopped being boring on LinkedIn.
Alias Intelligence is a due diligence firm. For the twelve months before they hired Sociallyin, their LinkedIn page published nothing. Zero posts. In the twelve months after, we ran the page like a publication: short-form video, graphics, and two newsletters a month. The result: 71 posts, 103,184 impressions, 7,093 engagements, and a 6.9% engagement rate, on a page that managed 44 engagements the entire year before.

THE STUCK POINT
The audience kept arriving. Nobody was home.
Alias Intelligence investigates people and companies for a living. Vetting is the product. And anyone vetting them on LinkedIn found a page of about 3,700 followers that hadn’t published a thing.
The numbers from July 2024 through June 2025 were stark: zero posts. 2,845 impressions. 44 engagements. All year. A page that existed mainly to confirm the company existed.
One number from that dormant year mattered more than the rest. The page gained 1,596 followers anyway. People kept finding Alias, deciding the firm was worth following, and landing on a feed with nothing in it.
The diagnosis: Alias didn’t have an attention problem. The audience was showing up on its own. It had a silence problem, and in a trust business, silence reads as absence.
A firm whose entire value proposition is knowing things about people couldn’t show what it knew. Anyone due-diligencing Alias got a page with a logo and a follower count. Nothing else.

THE BET
Due diligence, minus the boring.
The brief from Alias was one line: present due diligence in a way that isn’t boring. Most firms in the category post like they’re filing paperwork, compliance updates, headshots, the occasional press release. Alias wanted the opposite. We proposed running the page as a publication instead of a bulletin board: an editorial mix of short-form video, graphics, and two LinkedIn newsletters a month, fed by bi-weekly calls where both teams brainstormed together.
A Publication, Not
A Bulletin Board.
“So far everyone was really impressed with you and same with your team! We have our kickoff call next week. Things are going great!”
Dakota · Alias Intelligence · onboarding, week one, the onboarding process was the biggest differentiator against every competitor they evaluated
The Editorial Mix
Short-form video, graphics, and LinkedIn newsletters, three formats matched to what actually performs in a B2B feed, not what’s easiest to produce.
Bi-Weekly Strategy Calls
Both teams in one room every two weeks. The investigators supplied cases, patterns, and war stories; Sociallyin turned them into content worth stopping for. The raw material was already there.
Write in Their Voice
Alias vets people for a living. Their instinct for precision carries into how they edit. The goal: newsletters that ship with hardly any changes, because we’ve written in their voice, not ours.

THE WORK
A publication, not a page. Six
formats, one machine.
71 posts in twelve months. The volume isn’t the story, plenty of pages post more and say less. The story is the mix, and the machine behind it: six components that ran continuously from July 2025 to June 2026 without the page going dark once.
One Time – Week 1
Onboarding
The part most agencies rush and the part Dakota called our biggest differentiator against every competitor Alias evaluated. Before the first post shipped, both teams knew the voice, the cadence, and who owned what.

THE INFLECTION
Month twelve was the best month of
the year.
New content programs usually launch hot and decay. This one compounded. Impressions climbed through the fall, held through winter, and then June 2026, the twelfth month of the engagement, set the page’s high for both impressions and engagements. The engine was still accelerating when we pulled the report.
The other tell was quieter. The newsletters, the format carrying the program, went out with hardly any edits from the client. When a firm whose entire business is scrutiny stops redlining your copy, you’re writing in their voice.

THE PROOF
Twelve months of receipts.
Every figure from the Sprout Social profile performance report for July 1, 2025 through June 25, 2026, compared against the twelve months before the engagement. The percentages look absurd. They should, the comparison year is a page that posted nothing.

The Audience · Growth & Inbound
Source: Sprout Social Profile Performance report, Alias Intelligence LinkedIn, Jul 1, 2025 – Jun 25, 2026, compared to Jul 6, 2024 – Jun 30, 2025. Prior-year baseline reflects a page that published no posts. Percentage changes are inflated by that near-zero base and are reported exactly as measured, not rounded up or down. The 6.9% engagement rate is per impression (LinkedIn’s standard metric); the prior year’s 1.5% rate is calculated from 44 engagements on 2,845 impressions.
+1,739
Net new followers
Taking the page to 5,453 total, and this time, they arrived at a page with something on it.
The prior year brought 1,596 new followers to a silent page. This year brought more, to a publication.
108
Inbound messages
Received across the year on a page that spent the prior year silent and received none.
When people read the content, they start conversations. This is what that looks like in a trust business.

THE UNLOCK
Your LinkedIn page
is the first background check.
Nothing about Alias Intelligence changed in July 2025. Same investigators, same expertise, same cases worth talking about. What changed is that the page finally showed it.
For a firm that sells certainty about strangers, 103,184 impressions means 103,184 moments where a prospect’s first look at Alias came back with a pulse. The followers were always going to arrive, they arrived 1,596 strong during a year the page said nothing. The difference now is what they find.
Every buyer runs a background check on you. Your LinkedIn page is the one they open first. For a due diligence firm, the gap between a page that proves expertise and a page that doesn’t isn’t cosmetic. It’s the pitch.
Is your page telling buyers you’re not home?
We run LinkedIn for B2B firms the way Alias got it: video, graphics, and newsletters people actually read, on a cadence that compounds instead of decaying. Your audience is already checking the page. Give them a reason to stay.
